This week’s project: a full skeleton bucket rebuild from the ground up. From worn and tired to straight, strong, and ready to work again — new bars, fresh welds, and built to handle the abuse of the job site.
After that we’ve been busy in the shop rebuilding a 72″ PC490 bucket and bringing this heavy hitter back to life.
This week we removed the hydrostatic transmission (HST) pump to access and replace the worn flex plate, restoring proper power transfer and preventing further drivetrain damage.
Complete before-and-after undercarriage replacement on a D61 dozer, including removal of worn rails, rollers, idlers, and sprockets, followed by installation of new components to restore proper track alignment, traction, and overall machine performance.
